Rooted in my religious upbringing, the myth of Mormon godhood, and plenty of faggotry, ‘NO STRAIGHTS ALLOWED' is an exploration of queerness, trans identity, and the power of exclusionary spaces. In direct opposition to the rigid standards of hetero identity and sexuality, the porcelain dolls on display are icons of a hedonistic paradise. This is a place where body swapping is the norm, and free love is celebrated. The dolls are governed by the principles of bodily autonomy and sexual expression.
